Context
This poster depicts a visual breakdown of every new movie and television series that I watched in 2022 by genre, release date, ratings, protagonists, and my top favourites of the year. Through the use of various colours, symbols, and line types, my intention with this design was to visualize this set of data in a comprehensible, but visually compelling way that would allow viewers to explore and find patterns in my watching habits.
01/ Data Collection
My process began with compiling a spreadsheet of every movie and tv series I watched in 2022 and any related data points that I might have wanted to include in my design.
02/ Sketches
My initial concept exploration through hand sketches. My approach to this data visualization poster was partly inspired by the work of Georgia Lupi and her use of symbols and textures to visualize several layers of data in a condensed way
